Over the last ten years I'd had a hard time motivating myself to exercise and had put on a lot of weight. And, although my primary source of exercising was through a variety of exercise videos, I fell out of the habit and became rather frumpy. Last year I decided I needed to seriously motivate myself because I wanted to join the adult cardioTAPdance class at the school where my granddaughter danced. I'd had no prior tap experience and I wasn't sure how well I'd do in the class. But with Sandra's encouragement and easy instructional-style, I was able to keep up with the Level 1 class almost immediately! Right after I started taking the class I injured my knee. With the help of a knee brace I was able to continue taking class and found the low-impact format great for my joints! I've been taking cardioTAPdance since July 2007 and I love it! At age 57, I've found a wonderful way to maintain an exercise regimen that is "age-appropriate" and I look forward to class every week! Thanks Sandra for making this so much fun! Monica Couch
The aging process compromises both one's mental and physical faculties. Having been a contest winning ballroom dancer, I thought cardioTAPdance would be easy, even at the advanced age of 68. I did not take into account that tap skills requires a different discipline. Therefore, it became a daunting and frustrating task when my feet refused to do as my brain instructed. Nevertheless, cardioTAPdance has been marvelous and enjoyable way to exercise both my brain and body. Sandra stresses not attempting to look at her feet and copy her, but rather memorize and mentally say each step to yourself as you translate and learn to coordinate it with your feet. Sandra has also been most supportive and encouraging. I heartily thank and appreciate all her efforts when I resort to self deprecating my inability to perform combinations of steps as easily as others and to recognize my limitations, given my lack of sufficient experience. Ten years ago I suffered a heart attack and also suffered a stroke during the bypass surgery procedure. It was a long and difficult recovery but I eventually overcame the mental and physical challenges a stroke and heart attack brings. I did a lot of treadmill exercises and a lot of walking! VERY BORING and hated to get started each day. Then one day I read an ad in the local newspaper for cardioTAPdance. I have enjoyed dancing since I was a little girl and thought Ill give this a try. I was really amazed! Even though the class ran like a cardio fitness class, I was really tap dancing! As the years have gone by, I cant believe how my endurance has improved, and my tap dancing too. This fitness program is harder than the treadmill because it works my brain and I find it so much more rewarding than walking on a treadmill. I attend Sandras classes twice a week and feel so good. I cannot say enough about Sandras cardioTAPdance. My only regret is, I wish I would have seen the newspaper ad sooner! I love you, Sandra! Elisabeth Sides 27 Norman Rd., Fletcher, NC 28732
Where can one go to get a good workout, get physically fit, and have a great time doing it? I found Sandras cardioTAPdance classes to be everything all wrapped up into one. The workout involves not only the physical body, but also works the brain and co-ordination skills. Having been a yoga instructor for 10 years, I know that as we age strength and balance are the main ingredients to prevent falls and injuries. At 70 years old, I enjoy every moment of each day knowing that I am combining healthy heart workouts with happy feet. Thank you Sandra!!! Janet Thompson
I promised myself that when I retired I would start tap dancing again. And I did just that, little realizing that CardioTAPdance with Sandra Griffin would give me the time of my life: a great cardio workout with all the joy and rhythm of tap dancing to that wonderful music of the big bands, musical theater, and hit songs through the decades. Ive never felt better and my knees love the low impact. Who would have thought that so much fun could be so good for you!

I have been in cardioTAPdance for 2 plus years and want to say that Sandra Griffin is an excellent teacher. She knows how to break it down so that we can learn the different tap exercises. She makes it easy! Nancy L. Tuttle
I joined Sandras cardioTAPdance class in September of 2005. I was desperate for physical exercise. I had just been diagnosed with high blood pressure and for the first time in my life, age 71, was put on permanent medication. I was overweight, lethargic and just not myself anymore. Sandra has helped to turn my life around. She is a great teacher and she makes the workout and learning fun. I cant wait till the next class. I started my third year in September 2007 and have increased from Level 1 to Level 2 so now I work out twice a week. Thats the beauty of cardioTAPdance. Even though you can increase your learning ability the workout is still just as great if attending a Level 1 or 2 class. Im ready to start Level Three so I can come three times a week!
